BOOKING​

Valid Credit Card and 100% Deposit required at time of booking.

CHECK-IN / OUT
CHECK-IN: Check-in time at The Dover George is 3 pm on day of arrival.
CHECK-OUT: Check-out time at The Dover George is 11 AM.
Check-out is to be completed through our mobile check-out app and requires the self-reporting of all mini-bar and add-on purchases.

LATE CHECK-OUT can be discussed on a case-by-case basis, depending on availability. Should you require late check-out please contact us and we will determine if that can be accommodated.
Please contact the Front Desk if an earlier check-in or late check-out is needed. Availability & any associates fees will be confirmed on a case-by-case basis.

COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST​

All stays at the Dover George include our gourmet continental breakfast, served in the dining room of our common area and is available between 8 & 10 am every morning. Breakfast items are to be consumed on site, in the main common area and not in the rooms. 'In room' options and/or service may be made available on a case by case basis and at an additional fee.

THE KITCHEN​
​​
LOWER KITCHEN: The lower kitchen area of the Dover George is an inspected food preparation facility regulated by the Grand Erie Health Unit. It is not for guest use and is under video surveillance for everyone's safety. Please refrain from entering the lower kitchen for any purpose other than to place dirty dishes in the provided dish bins directly behind the drop to the lower island. Guests found using the lower kitchen for any purpose not discussed and approved by staff in writing will be subject to a minimum $500 sanitization fee and responsible for the cost of the repair and/or replacement of any missing or damaged fixtures, finishes or equipment.

UPPER KITCHEN: The upper dining area has been provided for guest use. Dish ware and cutlery are in the upper island drawers and should not be taken up to the guest rooms. Use of the main table is encouraged but we ask that guests use the placemats provided in the drawers of the upper island.

SECURITY DEPOSIT​

All stays at the The Dover George require a security deposit of $750 taken in the form of a credit card authorization placed on the reservation card 24hrs prior to check-in.
INCIDENTALS & ON-SITE PURCHASES​

Incidentals & premium amenities, including all mini-bar items not clearly identified as complementary are at an additional charge and are to be self-reported through our on-line portal at the time of check out. Any items opened, used or taken and not self reported will be charged to the credit card on file and subject to a 15% surcharge.

NO SMOKING / VAPING​
​
​The Dover George is a non-smoking establishment. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited at all times within the property. If evidence is found that smoking has taken place in the building or within 6m of entrances or opening windows by a guest or any of their visitors, the primary guest on the reservation will be subject to a minimum $500 cleaning and/or deodorizing fee.

PETS​
​
The Dover George is unfortunately not a pet friendly establishment. No guest pets are permitted within the building. Service animals are permitted providing acceptable documentation is provided from a regulated health professional certifying that the animal is required due to a disability, or an identification card from the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General for people who are blind and use a guide dog.

OCCUPANCY POLICY​
​
The Dover George is limited to an overnight capacity of two (2) persons per room. All overnight occupants in the hotel must be registered and are required to sleep in their booked suite. Common areas are not to be used as sleeping facilities. No additional guests or visitors above the approved occupancy number are permitted to stay in any room overnight.
Guests of The Dover George are permitted to entertain up two outside visitors per room reserved. The outside visitors are only permitted on the property between the hours of 10am to 8pm daily, and must be accompanied by the guest at all times. The sole exception to this is the rental of the entire property with an accompanying event or entertainment package.

SECURITY & NOISE​
​
To ensure peaceful enjoyment and to protect The Dover George and our guests, excessive noise and disturbances are not allowed. The property has been equipped with noise detectors and all common areas are covered by video surveillance. In the event of damage, a noise complaint or disturbance, guests will be provided a single warning to reduce noise or cease problematic behaviours. If those guests do not comply, then the guest will forfeit all charges and must leave the hotel and property immediately.

ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE​
​
George understands that accidents happen. We ask that guests notify staff in person or through our messaging platform of any stains, damage or broken items immediately so that we can take care of the situation as quickly as possible.
Intentional damage to the property or damage caused by negligence or disregard of the 'house rules' (including damage to all equipment, furniture and decor) as a direct result of guest (or guest's invited visitors') actions will be the responsibility of the registered guest. Cost incurred for the repair and/or replacement of damaged items will be charged to the credit card on file.

ACCESSIBILITY
​
Due to the age and physical limitations of the existing building, The Dover George is not able to offer accessible accommodations. The main floor is 4-5 steps up from ground level. All suites are located on the 2 or 3 floor and there is no elevator or lift available to access those upper floors.
