Originally built in 1849, the property known to Port Dover as the Knox Presbyterian Church has been reimagined to preserve its soul while transforming its purpose. For the first time since being rebuilt in 1961, the building has been fully restored to honour its architectural heritage while transforming it into a modern, design-forward venue.
The result is a space that feels luminous, refined, and quietly striking — ideal for weddings where atmosphere and aesthetic matter as much as the moment itself.

While we focus on the architecture and the atmosphere, when it comes to your big event, we leave the kitchen to the masters. We’ve developed relationships with the region’s top culinary teams to ensure your menu is as refined as the surroundings.
THE GEORGE STANDARD
To maintain the integrity of your event, Chapman Hall is a professional-only environment. We do not offer self-catering or "drop-off" options. Whether it’s a luxe buffet or a five-course plated dinner, we require that every meal be serviced by professional staff. This ensures the presentation stays perfect and the quality remains unbroken from the first bite to the last.

OUTSIDE CATERING
Have a specific chef in mind? We welcome outside, licensed, and insured professionals who can deliver to the George standard. These vendors must undergo a vetting process and be approved by George management to ensure they can deliver the quality and service level our guests have come to expect from our properties.

While we bring in the experts for the plate at Chapman Hall, the pour belongs to George.
As a fully licensed venue, we handle all beverage services in-house to maintain a seamless guest experience. Your base package provides the essentials—including professional staff and a standard non-alcoholic selection—giving you a clean canvas to add the bar program that best fits your vibe, whether that’s a curated cocktail hour or a full-service open bar.
