Originally built in 1849, the property known to Port Dover as the Knox Presbyterian Church has been reimagined to preserve its soul while transforming its purpose. For the first time since being rebuilt in 1961, the building has been fully restored to honour its architectural heritage while transforming it into a modern, design-forward venue.
The result is a space that feels luminous, refined, and quietly striking — ideal for weddings where atmosphere and aesthetic matter as much as the moment itself.

THIS IS TOTAL IMMERSION.
THE STAY A buyout of all 4 luxury suites at the George for two nights.
THE FOOD* A multi-course welcome or rehearsal dinner at the hotel on the day of your arrival, plus our curated gourmet breakfast both mornings.
THE EVENT Full use of both Chapman Hall levels and the VIP suite for your celebration, along with access to drop off decor and supplies the day before.

A NOTE ON GEORGE'S 19+
& PET-FREE POLICY
The George is designed as an adult sanctuary, which means the hotel proper remains kid and pet-free. But we don't believe in leaving family behind—Chapman Hall is fully inclusive of all ages and pets. We’ll work with you to host your younger guests and furry VIPs in our light-filled Hall spaces, ensuring they are part of the magic without breaking the hotel’s "retreat" vibe.

But to maintain the highest level of quality for larger celebrations, we have hand-selected the region’s top culinary teams as our preferred vendors to help execute your vision for the full event.
